'Wonder is a powerful tool of self preservation'. Yes, Frances, Yes. I too know this. And to hear how tenderly you hold your body in its grief-full wandering at one and the same time being able to see how reverently you relate to the land as it yields to trees and rivers, to farms as human-made interventions and wildly-made deer runs - it's a magical interweaving indeed. There is so much that I would love to talk to you about - your every post has something that I recognise within it - I hope the time & space will appear when we are both well enough to meet. In the meantime, keep walking in wonder and yes, keep speaking your truths - aloud. All blessings. Kate

Kate, I so hope that time/energy/bodies will align so that we can chat at some point! I really appreciate the time you’ve taken with this work, that line is one of my favorites that I’ve written, and it is something that I think I wrote as a reminder to myself. I’m so glad that you resonate with it also.

Thanks for having video & audio as well as the folded book itself. Each have own rhythm. My interest in various book forms has grown over last couple years & it is amazing to see how you interpreted your images w/shifts in scale & opening/closing flaps/extensions, etc. Beautiful.

Definitely! I’ve been thinking a lot about how to expand books to include different sensorial experiences, both as a way to expand access, and also as a way to think broader about what a book can be. There was definitely a lot of trial and error with the flaps, but they were so fun to figure out!
